Development Tour of Tsunza Peninsula

Earlier today, our Male Youth MP for Kinango, Hon Yahya Chilele, had the opportunity to join Deputy Governor Kwale County, H.E. Chirema Kombo, to participate in a development tour of the Tsunza Peninsula with teams from the National and County governments. The day's agenda focused on community development, youth engagement, involvement, and unity.

To support this, the Boresha Maisha Group in Tsunza and the Maji Maji Group in Guya BMU received donations of fishing equipment and a boat, respectively, to facilitate them in their objectives. Afterwards, Hon Yahya joined the Governor of Kwale County, H.E. Fatuma Achani, and other national officials for a mangrove planting exercise in the Mekwekwe Nyanje area along the Tsunza Peninsula to commemorate World Mangrove Day.

Based on today's observations, we encourage both the national and county governments to include youth in their project implementations to promote self-reliance and ensure active youth participation in development initiatives. This collaboration will go a long way in unlocking the huge potential under Kwale Youth Assembly leadership headed by His Excellency KYA President Ommy Salim.
